Our Story

When we decided to create Nectar of the Dogs™, we simply wanted to do better for our own pup, Willow - that's her in the middle.

Unpalatable capsules and tablets, products full of fillers or with ingredients at unevidenced dosages were just not good enough anymore.

So our little team of natural health experts, integrative vets, food technologists and doggo Mums and Dads embarked on a journey to create the most efficacious and delicious dog supplements the world has ever seen

Our Vision and journey

It's our strong belief that "healthy" doesn't have to be difficult or boring for pet parents. It's in Nectar's DNA to marry the fun and playful with quality and scientific rigour.

Like you, we’re (more than) a bit obsessed with our pups. They’re more than pets to us – they’re BFF and family all rolled into one - and we pride ourselves on doing everything we can to keep them healthy and happy.

We wanted a way to support our pups’ wellbeing while also treating them to a fun experience. So we went on a quest to create a range of the cleanest, most effective, plant-based supplements delivered on food or in a delicious liquid format. It was also important to us that these supplements were made right here in Australia in a human-grade manufacturing facility. It was then that Nectar of the Dogs™ was born.

What a funny brand name, you say? Really though, there was no better way to encapsulate it (we also don't mind a good old dog pun).

In ancient Greek mythology , Nectar was the food or drink of the Greek gods, giving longevity or immortality to whomever consumed it. Literally, it's a combination of “Nek” (death) and “Tar” (overcoming). Today, “Nectar of the Gods” is a common phrase used to describe a drink that tastes extremely good.

Our Team

Formulating, developing and producing Nectar of the Dogs™ was no easy task.

We had to do something that hadn't been done before and it took the best natural health experts, veterinarians and food technologists in Australia as well as the most passionate pet parents to deliver on this vision - that's about 50 years of expertise in each Nectar tin.

And let's not forget our in-house Chief Tasting Officer Willow who made sure that every Nectar is heckin' delish.
